Indiana-based Three Floyds Brewing Co. & Brewpub’s Robert the Bruce ranks amongst one of our favorite Scottish Ales. Delivered by an over the top group brewers looking for the right balance but always something different, Robert the Bruce has a pleasant but not overpowering fruity aroma with almost a hint of coca. This full sided, medium bodied beer pours a deep, dark chestnut brown with a nice tan head. Bold in taste, Robert the Bruce, delivers a perfect amount of bitterness that balances out well with a malty sweetness and nuttiness. A caramel / toffee like taste is present with a hint of vanilla and a fruity ovetone. The end offers a slight, roasty kick with a strong finish for a beer that is only 6.50% ABV (booze). A real malty pleasure.
Robert the Bruce is sold in 12oz bottles, sixpacks, & draft.
Typical cost for six pack $10.99
