Kevin VanDam spent close to two years designing and testing the new Strike King KVD Jerkbait before he got it just right. It’s unlike any jerkbait on the market with a wilder action than any other jerkbait he’s ever fished – and it flat gets bit. It has a really wide side-to-side travel on the jerk, and also has a lot of erratic wiggling and darting action. A weight transfer system means you can cast it a mile, and 3D eyes and incredible detailing only add to its appeal. The smaller 200-size features two super sharp treble hooks, while the larger 300-size features three treble hooks for maximum hooking potential. Available in a range of colors handpicked by KVD, rip the Strike King KVD Jerkbait on slack line for maximum action – and watch out!
EZ Angler Review:
There was some hype around the release of this new stick bait by the team over at Strike King and of course Kevin VanDam. From what we can determine, the hype was worth white. Right away we liked darting and kicking action of this jerk bait made possible by a well designed weight transfer system. The lure responded well to our actions off the rod, easily giving us the ability to give it major side to side travel and make erratic movements both in slow and fast action. We were able to get the lure to suspend nicely four to five feet down which was right in our strike zone resulting in some three and four pound bass within a relatively short time. This lure comes in a variety of colors and for our test we used the Natural Bream and Yellow Perch. This is a keeper in our box.
Average Cost: $9
