This week, Chester, VA-based Propeller Dynamics introduced the new Stainless Equalizer. Designed by Robbie Patterson, the Equalizer is an add-on-assist system that is a must for any Motor Guide trolling motor with a Gator Mount.
The Equalizer aids in the deploying and stowing of the trolling motor and can reduce the pull weight felt of the motor by over 50%.
“We are proud to announce the addition of the new Stainless Steel Equalizer, the new stainless steel model is now available and will be perfect for saltwater applications along with freshwater applications,” stated inventor Robbie Patterson. “It will be a great addition to our line up”
In 2012, during the early stages of trying to construct the Equalizer, Patterson searched for a strong and durable shock capable of withstanding the lowering and raising and the ride on the bow of a bass boat. As a result of his research and efforts, Patterson was able to develop a solid, lift-assist shock and accompanying hardware to ensure a secure and stable installation to provide longevity of use.
The shocks for the Equalizer are stronger and more sturdy than ones used for boat locker lids, thus allowing the added power for ease of deploying and stowing a trolling motor.
In November 2012, the Equalizer it hit the market. Currently The Equalizer is on the shelves of several shops, offered on many internet vendor sites, including Patterson’s Propeller Dynamics.
